David de Gea – Wasn’t really tested at all. His distribution was good enough. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Had an outstanding game in Dalot’s absence. Defended brilliantly throughout and never looked like being beaten. 8/10

Raphael Varane – Superb. Marshalled the back line well. Didn’t really give Haaland any opportunities whatsoever. 8/10

Luke Shaw – Played in that unorthodox centre-back role and was superb. Won his fair share of headers and got United moving in the right direction again. 7/10

Tyrell Malacia – Kept Mahrez quiet with his aggressive style of defending. Outstanding. 7/10

Casemiro – Cool as you like. Towed the line at times but got away with it. Defended brilliantly. His passing was sloppy at times. 6/10

Fred – Worked his socks off for the cause. Was at the heart of everything good about United’s play. 8/10

Christian Eriksen – Always picked the right pass. Kept it simple. Did get lost at times but that’s just due to the nature of City’s play. 5/10

Marcus Rashford – Had a couple of big chances in the first 45. Looked like he was going to go off injured, before scoring the winner. 7/10

Bruno Fernandes – Worked hard throughout. Sometimes out of the match over on that right-wing but drifted in a lot. Led the press. Scored the equaliser. 7/10

Anthony Martial – Gave United some sort of target to hit, but the game sort of passed him by. 4/10

Subs:

Antony – Didn’t really have an effect on the game off the bench.

Alejandro Garnacho – Changed the game with his pace and directness. Picked up a massive assist.

Harry Maguire – Won some headers late.

Scott McTominay – Brought energy.

Lisandro Martinez – Helped see out the game.
