Man United player ratings during 2-1 win vs Liverpool

David de Gea – Made some crucial stops, particularly in that second 45. I’d still like to see more from him with the ball at feet. 6/10

Diogo Dalot – Like so many out there tonight, his best performance in months. He fought for every loose ball and always looked to play it forward. 6/10

Raphael Varane – Cool, calm and collected. Won several important headers and tackles. 6/10

Lisandro Martinez – Just superb. Warrior-like from first minute until the last. Fought for absolutely everything and came out on top more often than not. Positionally excellent. 9/10

Tyrell Malacia – A breath of fresh air. Worked tirelessly on both sides of the ball. Dealt with Mo Salah extremely well. Solid. 7/10

Scott McTominay – Sat at the base of midfield and really took control. Was good in possession and looked more solid than he’s been recently. 7/10

Christian Eriksen – Neat and tidy. Kept united in possession and moved us in a positive direction. A quietly effective evening. 6/10

Bruno Fernandes – Worked his socks off and wore that captain’s armband with pride. Perhaps he can do better with that final pass. 6/10

Jadon Sancho – His best performance in a United shirt? Looked calm and confident. His goal was sheer composure. 7/10

Anthony Elanga – Subbed at half-time but more than played his part in the win. Got at that Liverpool back line. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Outstanding. Worked his socks off. Was chasing down everything and wasn’t afraid to go at his man. Took his goal like the Rashford of old. 8/10

Subs:

Anthony Martial – Had a sublime second half. Held the ball up beautifully. Played an inch-perfect pass into Rashford for the second.

Fred – Brought some energy into the midfield at a time of need.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Solidified the defence.

Cristiano Ronaldo – Didn’t really get into it. The start of the end?

Donny van de Beek – Not enough time to mark.

  1. Man.Utd should practice more of taking corners successfully. They need to keep up their consistency in all their games and to try and up their games even more.
They did not make so many mistakes like before standing and passing near the opponents goal and also passing to their goalie most of the time. This was much improved with the passing and speed. They seemed ruthless and that is how a teamship should be fighting for a win.
