Man United player ratings during 3-0 loss vs Spurs (Premier League home, 2024/25)

Here are our player ratings from the damning 3-0 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur, as Man United were battered in every department.

Andre Onana – Actually kept the score down with some important saves. Probably United’s best player which tells you everything you need to know. 6/10

Noussair Mazraoui – Solid enough defensively. Made some good clearances. Offered little going forward which was to be expected as Spurs pinned us back. 5/10

Matthijs de Ligt – Acquitted himself well enough when United had eleven men. Adds calmness and experience to a back line that lost their heads. 5/10

Lisandro Martinez – Played a little too aggressively here, leaving big gaps in behind that Spurs continually exploited. 3/10

Diogo Dalot – Had an absolute shocker. Gave the ball away time and time again, while defensively he was just completely switched off for the entire game. A disappointing display. 2/10

Manuel Ugarte – Showed fight and willingness to get stuck in, though found himself in a tough battle against James Maddison. 4/10

Kobbie Mainoo – Cruised through the game in the first 45. He kept his head when it would have been easy to lose it after the poor start. Sadly went off injured. 5/10

Bruno Fernandes – It was never a red card, let’s be honest. However, Bruno was largely ineffective before the sending off. He’ll now miss the next three. 3/10

Alejandro Garnacho – Wasn’t really given many chances to get at the Spurs players. Hit the post in the first half. 4/10

Marcus Rashford – He did lose the ball for the Spurs opener, but it wasn’t his fault Van de Ven was allowed to carry the ball so far. Didn’t do enough in the final third. 4/10

Joshua Zirkzee – Isolated up top. Particularly after the sending off. Had a decent chance to score before being subbed off at half-time, but hit the ball straight at the keeper. 5/10

Subs:

Mason Mount – Added some energy. Had to be subbed off with injury.

Casemiro – Didn’t help stem the steady flow of Spurs attacks from midfield.

Christian Eriksen – Not really involved.

Rasmus Hojlund – Barely had a kick.

Amad – Thrown on late when the situation couldn’t be recovered.
