Man United looked good last night, safely progressing into the Carabao Cup fourth round after a 3-0 win vs Crystal Palace.
Andre Onana – Had a quiet evening, just as he would have wanted. His distribution was good enough. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Looked to be forming a good connection with Facundo Pellistri. Picked up an assist. Worked hard on both sides of the ball. 6/10
Raphael Varane – Wore the captain’s armband and put in a real leaders performance. Made some important tackles and blocks. Wasn’t afraid to foray forward. 7/10
Harry Maguire – Played very well alongside Varane. Excellent defensively. Looked solid throughout the match. 7/10
Sofyan Amrabat – Was deployed as a left-back but he was absolutely everywhere. covered every blade of grass for the cause. Was great in the passing department. Sublime. 8/10
Casemiro – Scored a fantastic header during his best display of the campaign so far. Defensively solid and got forward wherever possible. 8/10
Mason Mount – Looked like he hadn’t missed a beat upon his return to the side. Showed some lovely touches and flicks to create opportunities. Worked hard. 8/10
Hannibal Mejbri – Eager and hard working. Perhaps a little too keen. Picked up an early booking and was towing the line from that moment on. 6/10
Facundo Pellistri – Always tried to make things happen with his pace. Combined well with Garnacho for the opener. 6/10
Alejandro Garnacho – Scored the opener. Drifted in and out of the game down the left-hand side but it was an encouraging performance. 6/10
Anthony Martial – Capped off a nice display with a goal. He led the line well. 7/10
Subs:
Victor Lindelof – A bright display. Wasn’t afraid to get forward.
Jonny Evans – Came on and helped see the game out.
Dan Gore – Kept it neat and tidy.
Donny van de Beek – Looked lively.
Rasmus Hojlund – Came on with 15 minutes to play. Did alright.
