Man United player ratings during 3-1 loss vs Aston Villa

Image via: Max Pixel

David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything about any of the three goals conceded. 5/10

Diogo Dalot – Booked so out of next week. Didn’t really get into the game in an attacking capacity. Just sort of cruised through. 5/10

Victor Lindelof – Not his finest match. Reverted back to his nervy days at the back. Couldn’t cope with Villa’s attacking quality. 3/10

Lisandro Martinez – Steady. Didn’t look as calm alongside Lindelof. 5/10

Luke Shaw – Got United a goal, though it was heavily deflected. Quiet. 5/10

Casemiro – Felt like he was defending on his own at times. Didn’t get much help from his midfield partner. 6/10

Christian Eriksen – Looked a little exhausted and tired. He has played plenty of football recently. 4/10

Donny van de Beek – Awful. Anonymous in every aspect. Brought nothing to the table. 2/10

Alejandro Garnacho – Probably United’s best attacking option. Looked somewhat threatening when on the ball. 5/10

Marcus Rashford – Shifted to the right and wasn’t effective. He needs that ability to cut in on his right foot. 4/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – It’s time to have a serious conversation about Ronaldo. Ineffective up top. 3/10

Subs:

Tyrell Malacia – Didn’t really get involved.

Anthony Elanga – No positive impact.

Anthony Martial – Nice to see him back out there.
