Man United player ratings during 3-1 win vs Reading

Image via: Max Pixel

David de Gea – Had a relatively comfortable evening. Perhaps could have come to claim the cross for the late Reading goal. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Good. Tried to get forward and pin Reading back whenever possible. 6/10

Harry Maguire – Decent enough. Dealt with the presence of Andy Carroll well. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – Doesn’t usually instil confidence in me, though he did his job well. 6/10

Tyrell Malacia – Largely positive. Had one poor moment late on when he had a lapse in concentration. Almost lead to a goal. 5/10

Casemiro – Pure class. Rounded off a lovely team move to set United on their way and backed it up with a beautiful curled finish to make it two. Also top drawer defensively. 8/10

Christian Eriksen – As calm as you like, knocking the ball around the park and ensuring United moved forward. On the end of a horrific tackle from Carroll. Left the stadium on crutches. 6/10

Bruno Fernandes – At the heart of everything good about United’s attacking play as per usual. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Had the ball in the net early. Sadly ruled out. Displayed some tricks and flicks. Good. 6/10

Antony – Excellent. Constantly threatened down that right-hand side. His pass into Casemiro for the opener was inch-perfect. 7/10

Wout Weghorst Linked up the play well. Won some headers and held the ball up nicely. 5/10

Subs:

Fred – Scored with a cheeky backheel finish to ensure the result was safe.

Alejandro Garnacho – His final touch, pass or shot let him down.

Facundo Pellistri – Nice to see him out there.
