Man United player ratings during 3-2 loss vs Arsenal (Premier League away, 2022/23)

David de Gea – Made one unreal stop late on when the game was 2-2. His distribution of the ball was shocking at times, though. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Had a poor afternoon. Got caught at the back-post for the Arsenal leveller. Defended badly at times and was bad with the ball at feet. 2/10

Lisandro Martinez – Was good for large periods. Marshalled the defence well. Made some good blocks and his header for United’s second was great. 6/10

Raphael Varane – Also good enough, but wasn’t helped by either full-back at times. Defended well and tried to get United moving in the right direction. 5/10

Luke Shaw – Stood off Saka way too many times and eventually, the Arsenal man took advantage. Not his finest outing. 3/10

Scott McTominay – The game passed him by at times. Was sat back way too deep, allowing glaring holes in midfield. 3/10

Christian Eriksen – Had a good first half but eventually, the pace of the game caught up with him. 4/10

Bruno Fernandes – Pressed well. Tried to make things happen constantly. Decent. 5/10

Antony – Did enough in the first 45, but struggled in the second half. He’s so one-footed, which made him predictable. 4/10

Marcus Rashford – Scored a screamer to set United on their way and always looked like the Reds’ biggest threat. 6/10

Wout Weghorst – Held the ball up well. Brought teammates into play nicely. Never looked like scoring, though. 5/10

Subs:

Fred – Brought energy.

Alejandro Garnacho – Not enough time to mark.
