Here are our player ratings as Man United beat Aston Villa 3-2 during an impressive come from behind victory.
Andre Onana – I’d like to see him do a little better in terms of controlling his penalty area during set pieces. Both Villa goals could have been prevented. Did make a top save in the second half. 4/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – I feel like he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Made some massive tackles throughout. 6/10
Raphael Varane – It’s good to have him back. Was important in the second 45, using all his experience to help United get on the front foot. 6/10
Jonny Evans – Continues to roll back the years with some excellent defensive displays. Made a huge block late on. 8/10
Diogo Dalot – Did an excellent job as the stand-in left-back. Tried to get forward where possible and was solid enough defensively. 6/10
Kobbie Mainoo – Plays with a real maturity beyond his years. Brings calmness to a midfield that needs it. Also adds energy in abundance. 7/10
Christian Eriksen – Just wasn’t his night. It was good to see him back out there after lengthy injury, but looked a little leggy in the second half. 4/10
Bruno Fernandes – Nobody works as hard nor creates as many chances as Bruno. Was pulling the strings throughout and was vital to the victory. 8/10
Marcus Rashford – His best game in ages. Looked super threatening down the left-hand side. Created chances galore for himself and others. 7/10
Alejandro Garnacho – Scored a brace to draw United level. Always threatens with his pace and willingness to run at defenders. 8/10
Rasmus Hojlund – Ended his Premier League duck with a cool finish from a set-piece. Led the line well as per usual. 7/10
Subs:
Antony – Worked hard.
Scott McTominay – Didn’t really get into it.
Willy Kambwala – Brought on to help see the game out.
Dan Gore – Added energy in the final few minutes.
Hannibal – Lively.
