Dean Henderson – Came into the team in David de Gea’s place and did an excellent job. Made some big saves at some vital moments. 6/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Showed his qualities against an excellent Liverpool attack. Also got forward wherever possible. 7/10
Victor Lindelof – Culpable for the Liverpool opener, though recovered well and had a good game from that point forward. 6/10
Harry Maguire – I’d like to see him do better for that sloppy second goal conceded. Sometimes he just switches off at the worst moments, but aside from that, it was a very commanding display from our skipper. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Played like a ma possessed, particularly in that first 45 minutes. He covered every blade of grass and really worked his socks off for the cause. 7/10
Scott McTominay – Had some poor periods, though there were also times when he looked super-composed and in control. A real mixed bag. 5/10
Paul Pogba – I’ve never seen him win so many tackles and work so hard defensively. It was an absolute pleasure to watch him put so much effort in like that. Was his usual, innovative self going forward. 8/10
Donny van de Beek – Kept it simple and ensured the ball was always moving. There was no killer pass or deadly run-making, though. He was average. 5/10
Mason Greenwood – His best game in months. Played some lovely passes, made some brilliant runs and took his goal like any clinical forward would. 7/10
Marcus Rashford – His ball into Greenwood for the leveller was a thing of beauty. Took his goal super coolly. Did leave with a sore knee though. I hope he’s ok. 8/10
Edinson Cavani – So he didn’t score but he gave the youngsters around him a clinic on how to lead the line and put the effort in for your teammates. Brilliant. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – Scored the winner with a stunning free-kick.
Fred – Kept things ticking over nicely.
Anthony Martial – Quiet.
