Revenge is ours. The Red Devils blitzed their Turkish opponents 4-1. Now, it’s time for our Man United player ratings vs Istanbul Basaksehir.
David de Gea – Made a few really important saves. Couldn’t do anything about the goal. 6/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Solid. We’re left feeling worried as he was subbed off with what looked like an injury though… 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Had a calm first-half but he too went off due to an injury issue. 6/10
Alex Telles – Played a hand in the opening goal, though went walkabout on more than one occasion. 6/10
Donny van de Beek – He just oozes class, doesn’t he? His passing was on point and he looked like a perfect fit at the heart of our midfield. 7/10
Fred – He’s needed in his team. Fred covers every blade of grass for the cause and he id that again tonight. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – I’m going to say it. He’s the best attacking midfielder in the country. Tonight he was simply unreal yet again and more than deserved his two goals. 8/10
Marcus Rashford – Made some threatening runs and looked really lively. Tucked away his penalty coolly. 7/10
Anthony Martial – Was alright. Looked good against Rafael at times, but he often drifted in and out of the game. 6/10
Edinson Cavani – Very sharp. He makes so many vital runs and brings other teammates into play. Deserved a goal. 7/10
Subs:
Axel Tuanzebe – Involved in a couple of mix-ups with Maguire.
Mason Greenwood – Sharp from the get-go. Made some great runs and his passing was on point.
Daniel James – Looked lively. Finished his goal brilliantly.
Brandon Williams – Looked really sharp on that right-hand side.
Nemanja Matic – Not enough time to mark.
