David de Gea – A couple of years ago, De Gea would’ve saved that first goal… 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Didn’t really have an awful lot of defending to do. His final ball was often lacking in quality though. 4/10
Harry Maguire – Involved in VAR controversy, but it probably wasn’t a penalty. Very lucky to escape late on when he went down under a soft tackle from Diagne. 4/10
Victor Lindelof – Alright, so he was probably fouled in the build-up to the WBA opener, but you expect him to be so much stronger there. Looked a nervous wreck from that point forward. 3/10
Luke Shaw – Played in a lovely ball for the Bruno equaliser. Defended well. 6/10
Scott McTominay – Saw a shot blocked off the line. Put in a steady performance. 5/10
Fred – He put in a low IQ performance. It just wasn’t good enough from him today – on both sides of the ball. 3/10
Bruno Fernandes – Dropped a shocker but scored a great goal to drag his side back into it. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Like the rest of our attack, quiet. 3/10
Anthony Martial – Looked disinterested and went missing for large periods. Hooked on 65 mins and rightly so. 2/10
Edinson Cavani – Wasn’t at it really. Just wasn’t involved anywhere near enough as you’d like your centre-forward to be in a game like this. 3/10
Subs:
Mason Greenwood – Had a big chance within minutes but was denied by Johnstone.
Donny van de Beek – Nice to see him involved.
