David de Gea – Wow. The Spaniard made an amazing fourteen saves as United picked up all three points. The best in the business. 10/10
Antonio Valencia – Got United on their way with an opening goal within five minutes. Defended diligently throughout. 7/10
Victor Lindelof – Improving with each passing game. The back five seems to suit him wonderfully. He’s starting to justify the price-tag. 6/10
Chris Smalling – The leader at the back. He was great. 6/10
Marcos Rojo – Shaky at times. I still don’t trust him fully. 5/10
Ashley Young – Once again very solid. He offers a threat going forward, too. 6/10
Nemanja Matic – Jose Mourinho’s bus. He broke play up, won tackles and dominated aerially. Great to have him fit enough to play. 7/10
Paul Pogba – Brilliant and stupid. Some of his attacking play was world-class, but he was stupid to go in on Hector Bellerin like that, and it was deserving of a red card. He’ll miss the derby.
Jesse Lingard – Scored twice to help United get all three points. His runs were outstanding. 8/10
Anthony Martial – Terrorised Arsenal. The touch he played into Lingard was inch-perfect. 7/10
Romelu Lukaku – Didn’t score but he was brilliant. Involved in everything good about our attacking intent and worked his socks off. 7/10
Subs:
Ander Herrera – Lively. Won plenty of tackles. Helped see the game through.
Matteo Darmian – Lucky to have not given away a penalty.
Marcus Rashford – Brought on in injury time to waste 30 seconds.
