The Red Devils put in another poor performance at home this evening. Our Manchester United player ratings vs Arsenal definitely make for grim reading…
David de Gea – Made a few comfortable stops. His poor penalty saving record continues, though… 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – If he has a weakness, it’s defending crosses from the opposite side. Had a quiet game. 4/10
Victor Lindelof – Did ok. Defended pretty resolutely throughout. 6/10
Harry Maguire – Almost scored with a looping header from a corner. Did a good job against the Arsenal front line. 6/10
Luke Shaw – His delivery wasn’t anywhere near as good as last time out. 5/10
Fred – Extremely poor in possession. Gave the ball away far too often and didn’t really cover as much ground as he usually does. 3/10
Scott Mcominay – Very average. Couldn’t pick out that killer pass, struggled to deal with the Arsenal press and overall, didn’t influence the game in any way. 3/10
Paul Pogba – Pathetic. Was too lackadaisical throughout and gave away another poor penalty that cost United the game. 2/10
Bruno Fernandes – Couldn’t get into the game at all. Was stifled by the Arsenal midfield and was careless with the ball at his feet. 4/10
Mason Greenwood – Had a half-chance early on, but that was about it. Was offered no service whatsoever. 4/10
Marcus Rashford – Exactly the same as Greenwood. 4/10
Subs:
Nemanja Matic – Quite possibly fouled by Gabriel in the box…
Edinson Cavani – Not sure why he came on as a left-winger…
Donny van de Beek – Didn’t get into the game.
