Man United player ratings vs Brighton during 3-0 victory (Premier League away, 2020)

David de Gea – Had a quiet first 45 minutes, but made a couple of impressive saves in the second half to preserve his clean-sheet. 6/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Picked up another assist and was brilliant as per usual in the defensive third. Well played. 7/10

Victor Lindelof – Was pretty solid to be fair. Didn’t really put a foot wrong. 7/10

Harry Maguire – Led by example and put his head on everything. Was vital in the build-up to United’s supremely impressive third goal. 7/10

Luke Shaw – Made some all-important bursting runs forward in the early goings that set the tone for the game. Superb. 7/10

Nemanja Matic – Mopped up on more than one occasion and played a lovely ball into Mason Greenwood to help set up *that* counter-attack. 8/10

Paul Pogba – Made a massive impact on the game with his passing, forward runs and sheer genius. 7/10

Bruno Fernandes – Secured his first United brace. Pulled the strings throughout. Worked his socks off for the team. Standard. What. A. Player!!! 9/10

Marcus Rashford – Still looks a little rusty, though I’m loving those defence-splitting passes which he seems to be doing an awful lot of right now. 5/10

Mason Greenwood – This boy is going to be an absolute star. The stepovers, inch-perfect precision and workrate is there for all to see. Stunning. 8/10

Anthony Martial – Pretty quiet but he did make the defenders work. 5/10

Subs:

Odion Ighalo – Didn’t really get into it.

Brandon Williams – Made a positive impact from off the bench which was great to see.

Andreas Pereira – Average.

Scott McTominay – Unlucky not to grab himself a goal.

Daniel James – Did ok.
