Man United player ratings vs Burnley as Reds lose 2-0 at home

David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything to stop the Chris Wood goal, though getting beat at his near post for the Jay Rodriguez strike was somewhat disappointing. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Probably United’s best player on both the attack and defensive side of things which is damning. 6/10

Phil Jones – Didn’t do too badly considering his lack of minutes over the last month or so. Did give away a free-kick which lead to a goal, though… 5/10

Harry Maguire – Poor. Struggled with the aerial threat and there wasn’t much leadership coming from our centre-half. You expect better. 3/10

Brandon Williams – United’s second-best attacking outlet behind AWB. It’s sad that there’s so much pressure on a teenager. 5/10

Nemanja Matic – I said it last week, but play him more than once a week and he struggles. That was evident tonight. 4/10

Fred – Was probably United’s MOTM last time out but tonight he was majorly disappointing. Quiet. 4/10

Juan Mata – Fluffed a big chance in the first half. Was pretty quiet aside from that. 4/10

Andreas Pereira – Again, I say it every week, but what on earth does he do well? Just disappointing. 4/10

Daniel James – I feel he needs a real rest to recharge the batteries. Not good enough this evening. Quiet. 4/10

Anthony Martial – Had a big chance at 0-0 to set United on their way. Missed it and never really got another opportunity. 4/10

Subs:

Mason Greenwood – At least he tried to take a shot at goal…

Jesse Lingard – Didn’t really get into the game.

Luke Shaw – Had a goal ruled out, but didn’t make an impact.
