David de Gea – Made an awful blunder to start things off, but kept Everton out late on and more than atoned for his mistake. 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Tried to get forward where possible and made some great tackles. Sat deeper as Everton pressure began to mount in the second 45. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Looked nervous, particularly when the likes of Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin were running at him. 4/10
Harry Maguire – Put in an absolutely colossal performance. Was first to everything, won countless headers and led from the back. A real captain’s display. 7/10
Luke Shaw – Continues to move in the right direction. Was full of energy and tried to get involved where possible. Well played. 6/10
Nemanja Matic – Protected the back four pretty well. Controlled the game and kept it simple. 6/10
Scott McTominay – Was ok. He was drifting out of position too often for my liking, but you can never fault his desire, drive and determination. 5/10
Fred – Great. His passing and driving runs really helped United’s case. Continues to get better under Solskjaer. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – His movement, passing range, execution and skill is just outrageous. Scored his first goal from open play and provided the attacking spark. Brilliant. 8/10
Mason Greenwood – Drifted in and out which you expect from one so young. You expect these sort of quiet games for a man of his age. 4/10
Anthony Martial – Not his best day. Perhaps he’s still nursing the injury that kept him out of the game against Club Brugge. 4/10
Subs:
Odion Ighalo – Had a great chance to win the game.
Juan Mata – Didn’t really get involved.
Brandon Williams – Not enough time to mark.
