Sergio Romero – Was an onlooker for the most part, in truth. Had a quiet evening in Austria. 6/10
Brandon Williams – Shifted over to the right-back role and did ok in a defensive capacity. Wasn’t as effective in the final third, though. 5/10
Eric Bailly – Marshalled the back line pretty well. Was a late injury scare but seemed ok. 6/10
Harry Maguire – Captained the side in what was a comfortable evening. Had a chance to score from a corner, but did his defensive duties brilliantly. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Continued his excellent run of form by helping the side keep another clean-sheet. 6/10
Scott McTominay – Another 90 minutes under the belt. Had a comfortable evening in truth, but it’ll be great for his confidence and fitness. 6/10
Fred – Played an outrageously good ball into Juan Mata to make it three. Had another brilliant game. 8/10
Bruno Fernandes – Bossed it from midfield. Created chances galore and picked up another assist for Ighalo’s stunner. Standard. 8/10
Daniel James – Snatched at a chance early on but more than made up for it with his brilliant goal. Nice to see him end the goal drought. 7/10
Juan Mata – Nice to see him get on the score-sheet. Created chances aplenty.
Odion Ighalo – Scored an absolute corker to get United on their way. Held up play brilliantly. 8/10
Subs:
Mason Greenwood – Ended things with a brilliant strike.
Andreas Pereira – His goal was quick-thinking.
Tahith Chong – Played a lovely ball through to Greenwood.
