Man United player ratings vs Liverpool (Premier League, 2020)

David de Gea – Made some unbelievable saves to keep the score down. Definitely back to his best. 8/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Not his best game of the season, that’s for sure. Was made to look silly by Firmino. 4/10

Victor Lindelof – Looked slow and had a poor reaction to Liverpool’s threat. 5/10

Harry Maguire – Had to do it all on his own back there at times. You feel for him. 6/10

Luke Shaw – Made one excellent tackle, but I’m not sure he suits playing at centre-back in a back three. 5/10

Brandon Williams – Lost the header to Van Dijk for Liverpool’s opener, but continued to show the desire that most of his teammates don’t have. 6/10

Nemanja Matic – His third game in a week and he understandably looked tired. 4/10

Andreas Pereira – The lack of quality is just awful. I feel sorry for Solskjaer as he literally has no other options. 3/10

Fred – Was outstanding in the second 45, though was having to do it all on his own at times. 7/10

Daniel James – His quality in the final third wasn’t anywhere near good enough. 4/10

Anthony Martial – Just not his night. Missed a golden opportunity to bring United level and blew it. 5/10

Subs:

Mason Greenwood – Showed a few decent touches.

Juan Mata – Didn’t get into the game.

Diogo Dalot – Not enough time to mark.
