David de Gea – Made a couple of smart saves but his kicking was dreadful. 4/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Wasn’t really involved in an attacking sense. Did a decent job on Miguel Almiron defensively. 5/10
Harry Maguire – He didn’t really exude confidence at times, but he was okay. Perhaps he could’ve done more with the header which led to a Newcastle equaliser. 5/10
Victor Lindelof – Well he didn’t make a massive mistake leading to a goal, so we’ll take that as a positive... 6/10
Luke Shaw – Was always a willing runner. Bombarded forward several times. His final pass or ball into the box let him down a little today. 5/10
Nemanja Matic – The lack of mobility really means he struggles against those energetic opposing midfield’s. We really missed Scotty Mac today. 4/10
Fred – Unimpressive in possession and was far too careless this evening. 3/10
Bruno Fernandes – Quiet, but picked up a goal and assist. Standard. 6/10
Daniel James – Probably United’s best attacker for the first hour. Worked his socks off and took his goal brilliantly. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Scored a brilliant individual goal to set United on their way. Also won a penalty. Always tried to make things happen. 7/10
Anthony Martial – Awful. Just awful. Didn’t look interested. There was little-to-no movement and he was never a goal threat. His form is a major concern. 2/10
