Sergio Romero – A pretty quiet evening bar picking the ball out the back of his net. 5/10
Diogo Dalot – Nonexistent, in truth. No purpose when going forward, though not really tested heading the other way. 4/10
Eric Bailly – Won a few headers and tackles when needed. 5/10
Harry Maguire – Probably United’s best player, in truth. The Reds weren’t really at the races but he stepped up with a captain’s goal when we needed him the most. 7/10
Luke Shaw – Bombed up and down the flank all game, though lacked that cutting edge when it came to the final pass. 5/10
Scott McTominay – Kept things ticking over but didn’t really contribute in the final third. 5/10
Fred – Played a lovely ball into Bruno early on in the second half. That was about it. 5/10
Bruno Fernandes – Tried to create and make things happen. It just wasn’t coming off for him today. Looked a little leggy late on, which is understandable given he’s practically played every minute since joining. 5/10
Juan Mata – Quiet throughout. When he’s not getting on the ball and making things happen, he’s nonexistent. 3/10
Jesse Lingard – Showed some nice touches and movement, without really penetrating. 4/10
Odion Ighalo – In truth, he was pretty quiet, though he did set United on their way with the opening goal. 6/10
Subs:
Paul Pogba – Changed the game. Again.
Marcus Rashford – It’s just not happening for him since his return.
Brandon Williams – Came on as a right-back and did ok.
Mason Greenwood – Didn’t really get involved all that much.
Nemanja Matic – Marshalled the back line well.
Anthony Martial – Looked sharp.
