David de Gea – Made an excellent save to deny Todd Cantwell as the first-half drew to a close. Pretty quiet putting that aside. 7/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Wasn’t really tested defensively. Tried to get forward wherever possible, but once again the final ball was lacking. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – Calm and composed throughout. Didn’t mind carrying the ball out from the back if needed. 7/10

Harry Maguire – Nice to have him back. Won tackles, got stuck in and led by example. Quality. 7/10

Brandon Williams – Unlucky not to get himself a goal, but did win a penalty. Surely has to be United’s first-choice left-back now? 7/10

Nemanja Matic – Won the midfield battle single-handedly. Kept it simple when in possession. 6/10

Fred – Did ok for the most part, though sometimes I feel he’s just far too casual. His long-range shooting definitely needs work. 5/10

Andreas Pereira – Showed off the Brazilian tricks and flicks right from the off. Played some decent balls into the box, too. Was always busy. One of his better performances of the season. 7/10

Juan Mata – Was given a big chance and he took it. The ball into Rashford for the United opener was inch-perfect, as was his delivery for Martial. Exquisite. 8/10

Marcus Rashford – Cool as you like for the first and took his penalty with aplomb. Subbed off just on the hour mark. We should wrap him up in cotton wool. 8/10

Anthony Martial – His header was brilliant. Led the line well and worked his socks off. Well played. 7/10

Subs:

Daniel James – Layed it off to Greenwood for his goal.

Mason Greenwood – Scored with a typical finish to wrap up proceedings and sent United fans home happy.

Angel Gomes – Did ok. Nice to see him out there.
