David de Gea – I genuinely don’t remember him making one single save. A quiet evening for the Spaniard. 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Defended well and played a couple of lovely balls into the box. Picked up an assist. 7/10
Victor Lindelof – A comfortable game, in truth. Kept things ticking over with his long passing. 6/10
Harry Maguire – Dominated the aerial battle and ensured his teammates remained switched on throughout. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Got forward where possible. Wasn’t really tested defensively. 6/10
Nemanja Matic – Quiet but effective. Mopped up brilliantly and kept things ticking over nicely. An excellent display. 7/10
Paul Pogba – To put in a display like that on your first start in nine months was pretty spectacular. He bossed the game. 8/10
Bruno Fernandes – Too classy. He’ll try the difficult ball or the audacious shot – but he’s a difference-maker. 8/10
Mason Greenwood – Didn’t make a massive impact, but didn’t have a bad game either. Played well. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Still looked a little rusty but picked up two assists. The second, in particular, was delightful. 7/10
Anthony Martial – Well, there’s no doubt about tonight’s Man of the Match. The mercurial Frenchman scored United’s first hat-trick in seven years – and it was superb to see. 10/10.
