Man United player ratings vs West Ham during 1-1 draw (Premier League home, 2020)

Well, it wasn’t convincing, but Manchester United picked up a point that means a draw against Leicester City on the final day will seal our place in the Champions League. It’s time for our Man United player ratings vs West Ham.

David de Gea – Made a couple of smart saves to preserve United’s point. Wasn’t really tested too much, though. 6/10

Timothy Fosu-Mensah – Solid defensively, though he was struggling to make an impact in the final third. Unlucky to be hooked at half-time, I thought… 5/10

Victor Lindelof – Looked a little shaky at times, but grew into it and looked pretty solid.7/10

Harry Maguire – Probably United’s most consistent performer on the night. Won headers galore and made some key tackles. 7/10

Brandon Williams – Struggled with the physicality of Bowen. Played through injury. He was very good with the ball at his feet and looked to get forward. 6/10

Nemanja Matic – Pretty sloppy. Gave away far too many fouls and he wasn’t controlling the midfield. 4/10

Paul Pogba – Gave away a needless penalty via a handball. You either have to take one in the face or duck out of the way. He was sloppy throughout and bottled more than one 50/50. Disappointing. 3/10

Bruno Fernandes – Comfortably his worst outing in United colours. Couldn’t create, gave the ball away far-too-often and was slipping all over the show. 4/10

Marcus Rashford – Pretty bad. Couldn’t beat his man, his passing radar was off and didn’t really threaten. 4/10

Mason Greenwood – Saved United’s bacon with an emphatic finish after a lovely move with Anthony Martial. He’s only going to get better. 7/10

Anthony Martial – Drifted in and out of the game but the work he did for United’s goal was stunning. 6/10

Subs:

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Steady.

Odion Ighalo – Could have scored with his first touch.
