Any Man United move to sign Joshua Zirkzee could be delayed until July, due to the striker’s participation at the European Championship.
Over the last week, the links to Joshua Zirkzee have ramped up quickly. The Bologna forward enjoyed himself in 2023/24, scoring 12 goals in 37 appearances. The young man looked sharp for the Serie A club, who finished fifth in the league.
Manchester United are looking to bolster their attacking options after losing Anthony Martial this summer, trying to offer some help for Rasmus Hojlund. The Dane looked good during his debut campaign, though it’s unfair to make him carry the burden alone.
Zirkzee now feels like the number one target for INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, the Reds may have to wait patiently on that front…
Journalist Luca Bianchin confirmed that United’s potential move to sign the 23-year-old may be delayed until mid-July, as Zirkzee wants to wait until after the European Championship to sort out his future.

Piccola evoluzione #Zirkzee–#Milan.

Joshua non vuole decidere sul futuro prima della fine dell’Europeo dell’Olanda: si va a luglio.
Il Milan fermo: non pagherà 15 milioni di commissioni, ora molto dipende da Kia Joorabchian.

Bianchin also provided some further good news, with Zirkzee’s talks with Inter Milan at a standstill due to a difference valuation of the player.
This could allow United to swoop in and take the leading role in the race to sign the Dutchman, who could look to take that next step in his career.
It all comes down to asking price. Zirzkee has a £34m release clause in his contract though his agent, Kia Joorabchian, is pushing for substantial fees in terms of signing bonuses as a result.
Hopefully, United can get a deal sorted soon.
