Going into what is an all-important summer transfer window for Manchester United, Jadon Sancho is the talk of the town.
Back on February 12th, we covered a story from Sky Sports who claimed that the Englishman is ‘expected’ to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, while United are interested.
Today, we’ve been given another positive update in regards to Sancho – and it comes from the usually reliable Duncan Castles, who was speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast.
Castles states that United are ‘probably’ now in prime position to sign the superstar 19-year-old Sancho – due to the way other clubs have acted and the prices involved.
There’s no doubt that Sancho’s signature will probably cost somewhere around the £100million mark. Not every club can afford to splash that much cash on a teenager. Even less are willing to do so…
Sancho has been simply brilliant since switching Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund. He’s scored goals for fun, tacked on assists and forced his way into Gareth Southgate’s England squad. Now, I get the feeling he’s ready to come back to the Premier League.
It feels like the perfect fit for United, who have been lacking that world-class right-winger, probably since Cristiano Ronaldo left in truth. Sancho could fill that void and if he is signed, that front-four suddenly looks pretty special.
Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and (maybe) Jadon Sancho? Phwoar…
