Man United pushing to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace: report

For Manchester United, major overhaul is required. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a huge task on his hands with many holes to fill, but he has to start somewhere, right?

According to the Daily Mirror, the Reds are closing in on acquiring Daniel James’ signature, but that’s a story that many media outlets are jumping on. What I find interesting in their article is the other player they’re linking United to.

They state that United are ‘pushing to sign’ Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace this summer – but they’ll have to pay up to £50million to sign the talented 21-year-old.

Understandably, Palace are determined to keep ahold of Wan-Bissaka; who enjoyed a stellar breakthrough campaign in the 2018/19 season.

With Antonio Valencia already out the door and Matteo Darmian likely to follow suit, United are desperate to sign a new right-back.

Wan-Bissaka has shown me enough to lead me to believe he could become one of the best right-backs in the country over the next few years. For £50million, with the potential for a decade of service, it seems like an absolute no-brainer.

You get the feeling it’s going to be tough to convince Palace into parting with their prized asset, but the summer is long and United can press ahead and try to get the deal pushed through.
