David de Gea – In truth, he had a quiet evening. Couldn’t do anything about the early Lookman goal but was an onlooker from that point forward. 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Made a big error for the Fulham opener but was pretty good from that point forward. Tried to get forward wherever possible. 6/10
Eric Bailly – There were a few nervy moments, but once again he showed a willingness to put his body on the line for the cause. 6/10
Harry Maguire – Missed a glorious chance in the first half. Made up for it at the other end, though, as he put his head on absolutely everything. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Pretty good on both sides of the ball. Kept it simple, defended well and was positionally solid. A sound display. 6/10
Fred – Deployed a little deeper, but I’m not sure I like him as the last line of defence in midfield. His passing was too casual tonight. 4/10
Bruno Fernandes – Looked razor-sharp in the first 45. Tested the keeper a couple of times and always tried to make things happen. 6/10
Paul Pogba – Started sluggishly but grew into the game and produced a moment of brilliance to win it. He’s probably showing his best form in United colours right now. Fair play. 8/10
Anthony Martial – Another uncharacteristically-quiet performance. He looks so lazy and disinterested at times and that’s concerning. 2/10
Mason Greenwood – I’m not sure what’s going on with Mason but he’s seriously struggling for confidence. Just couldn’t get into it. 3/10
Edinson Cavani – A proper old-school forward who single-handedly carried our attack at times last night. Deservedly grabbed a goal. 8/10
Subs:
Marcus Rashford – Kept the ball well.
Scott McTominay – Mopped up.
Nemanja Matic – Not enough time to mark.
