Man United reach agreement with Sancho, will negotiate with Dortmund: report

Man United are believed to have come to an agreement on terms with Jadon Sancho. Now, it’s down to negotiating a fee with Dortmund.

Until Jadon Sancho moves on from Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United will continue to be linked with the superstar Englishman.

To us here at Old Trafford Faithful, a Sancho move to Old Trafford feels like a case of when rather than if. Let’s face it, only a handful of sides can afford a player like Sancho, even less so in the midst of a global pandemic.

The links to Sancho have been appearing on the back pages almost every day over the last month or so. The latest update is a big one and it comes from a reliable source; Fabrizio Romano.

Apparently, United have agreed to personal terms with Sancho, in a deal that will run until 2026. United are now in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the fee to sign the star. The price currently sits at £82m (€95m).

While it’s pretty huge news that United have agreed to terms with Sancho, it was never expected to be a real problem at all. Don’t forget that last summer, United were in a similar situation and it all came down to a transfer fee – and obviously, no deal was agreed.

The good news is that the deal seems to be ‘getting closer’. The good news is £82m is a significant reduction on the £108m Dortmund were looking for last summer – which does give United fans every reason to be hopeful that an agreement can be reached.

I’m just really looking forward to see how this one plays out. Sancho would completely transform our right-hand side and having a player of his quality to call upon would be massive.

Hopefully, we’re not waiting too long for an official confirmation…
