Man United reach out to Sevilla over potential signing of Juanlu Sanchez

Man United have been in talks with Sevilla over the signing of talented attacker, Juanlu Sanchez.

Manchester United are now looking to head in a positive direction under INEOS. It feels like the Old Trafford side are acting like a serious club again.

Erik ten Hag was delivered five signings this summer. All of whom look like genuinely positive additions to the squad. However, the work is not done and behind the scenes, forward planning is already underway.

One man the Red Devils are looking at is Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez. According to ABC (via Sport Witness), United have made contact over the potential signing of the 21-year-old.

It’s stated that Sanchez caught the eye during the Olympics, with United reaching out to Sevilla as a result.

Sport Witness state that United watched the player closely over the summer, before reaching out to ask for further information about Sanchez. Although no offer has yet been made, there’s an insistence that the interest in the Spaniard is real.

Sanchez isn’t a player I know an awful lot about, though he’s still so young as 2023/24 was his breakout campaign. The early signs are certainly positive, with the attacker looking good for the La Liga side last term.

It’s worth noting that if the likes of Marcus Rashford and Antony continue to struggle, there could well be a space in the squad for a new, hungry winger. Sanchez would certainly fit that bill, adding extra talent to the dressing room alongside the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Amad in wide areas.

This isn’t a move I’d expect to see happen in January, though more likely this could be a transfer that is revisited next summer if Sanchez continues to develop.

Do you think a Man United move to sign Juanlu Sanchez would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
