Man United have received an insulting offer from Galatasaray for Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
It’s no secret that Manchester United find themselves in a situation where they have to sell before they can buy this summer. Money is tight and Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to tighten the belt and restore some sort of order at Old Trafford.
The squad is filled with fringe players who are probably earning more than their ability deserves, hence, we could see some surprise sales over the next few months.
Over the last 24 hours, a transfer claim has been made by Turkish media outlet Milliyet. They believe Galatasaray are chasing the signatures of both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay.
However, United have received an insulting offer of just £21m for the first-team duo, with Galatasaray now waiting for a response from the Reds…
I can confidently tell you now, this bid will be rejected swiftly. United will likely be hoping for at least £20m per player mentioned and this just feels like Galatasaray trying to test their luck.
Although both players are entering into the final year of their deals, there’s just no way this figure will be accepted by the Old Trafford club. These are two players who can still contribute at a very high level as and when called upon.
Yes, if the right offer comes in then I would fully expect United to consider selling both McTominay and Wan-Bissaka, but Galatasaray, and any other interested parties for that matter, have to get serious with their offers and valuations.
If push comes to shove, Wan-Bissaka is likelier to stay due to United’s lack of options in the full-back position, whereas the Reds are suddenly looking somewhat strong in midfield.
