Man United are sounding out their transfer options, but seemingly have Vitor Osimhen high on their list of possible targets.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been simply sublime over the last couple of months. Even haters of Manchester United cannot deny his brilliance.
However, the Portugal star needs help. It has been a one-man show of late, with United set to be deeper in the mud after they lose Edinson Cavani and quite possibly Anthony Martial, too.
One or two attackers need to be acquired this summer. Just last week, we covered a claim which stated United were ‘ahead’ in the pursuit of Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen.
Now, journalist Freddie Paxton has given us another update on the future of the Nigerian. He claims united ‘have now registered firm interest’ in the 23-year-old attacker.
Osimhen is one of ‘numerous targets’ for United this summer, with the Red Devils ‘sounding out’ all of their options, though Osimhen seems to be at the forefront of their conversations at present.
The player has seventeen goals for Napoli this season, in just 29 games across all competitions. That’s quite an impressive return for the man who continues to improve year on year.
No information is offered in the way of potential cost by Paxton, though in this day and age, you can probably place a safe bet on Osimhen costing in excess of £50million. For a man without Premier League experience, this could be considered a gamble.
If you’re looking for reasons to sign Osimhen, the fact that he has ten goals in twenty appearances for Nigeria is another plus. Not only can he do it at the domestic level, he’s played well for his country, too.
No doubt United will face competition in the race to sign Osimhen if they choose to make an official bid. A lack of Champions League football on offer could well come back to haunt us if that’s the case…
