Man United reject Neymar & Paul Pogba swap deal from PSG: report

With Paul Pogba’s Manchester United future up in the air, Paris Saint-Germain have apparently approached the Red Devils about the possibility of a direct swap, The Independent report.

According to Miguel Delaney, the Ligue 1 giants enquired about potentially directly swapping the French midfielder for Neymar – as the Old Trafford outfit deem the deal ‘too expensive to justify’.

Both players are ‘desperate’ to leave their current clubs for different reasons, and although Edward Woodward usually likes these sort of marquee signings – he’s ready to pass because Neymar would cost too much; even for United.

It is believed that Neymar gets paid around £900,000-a-week by PSG, which makes Alexis Sanchez’s wages seem like a drop in the ocean…

Another stumbling block is the fact that Woodward still wants to keep ahold of Pogba – presumably due to his high marketability factor.

The situation is tough. I still hold the opinion that Pogba has underperformed during his three-year stint at United, but would I swap him for Neymar? Probably not.

PSG’s Brazilian attacker is an even bigger mercenary than Pogba is, and to be brutally honest with you, I can’t be bothered with his constant diving and rolling around on the floor because it’s just embarrassing.
