Manchester United find themselves linked with Jadon Sancho practically every day now.
Ahead of a huge summer transfer window, those stories just aren’t going away. After all, the Englishman would be a major coup if the Red Devils can pull it off.
Well yesterday, 90min.com offered us another update on the brewing Sancho saga. Apparently, United ‘remain confident’ they’ll sign the superstar attacker. That’s despite Borussia Dortmund’s efforts to tie the 20-year-old down to a new long-term contract.
As things stand, Sancho’s current deal has two years to run meaning the clock is now ticking in regards to his transfer value. Dortmund either have to sort out his contract over the next few months or watch his value decrease.
In terms of the fit, it looks perfect. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has prioritised making moves for young up-and-comers and they don’t come much more talented than Sancho.
After a few years in Germany, perhaps Sancho feels the time is right for him to make the move back home to England. Where better than United, the home of giving youngsters a chance?
Yes, Sancho won’t come cheap. However, I’d put good money on him being worth it. This is someone who United can build their team around for the next decade, and the thought of Sancho linking up with Marcus Rashford is a pretty special one…
