Manchester United Football Club have a big summer transfer window ahead, with the Old Trafford outfit looking to kick it up another level.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made some super signings, though further money has to be spent in order to make United a real force once again.
Well, yesterday, a familiar name was thrown back into the mix; Marash Kumbulla. The last story we covered on the young defender came back in January, when the Reds first showed keenness in regard to the Albanian.
In their Friday print edition, Corriere di Verona, translated via Sport Witness, it is claimed that United remain interested in the 20-year-old, while Watford and Everton are also named as teams who’re intrigued by Kumbulla.
There is one small stumbling block, though, as the COVID-19 pandemic may have slowed things down in regards to a Kumbulla move away. Obviously, Italy is probably the part of the world that’s feeling it the hardest right now…
The problem may affect transfer fees, with an earlier story covered by Sport Witness claiming that €30m (£27m) should get the job done. Simply put, for United, price shouldn’t be an issue.
It’s all a bit strange at United right now. Centre-back has been a long-standing problem for the last few years, though recently, it has changed. Harry Maguire looks a real captain while Victor Lindelof is improving. Then you have Axel Tuanzebe, he’s constantly getting better and Eric Bailly looks back to his brilliant best. Honestly, right now, I’d much prefer to see this money spent elsewhere…
