Man United renew interest in midfielder, club value him at £100million: report

Manchester United Football Club have hit a bump in the road under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

This is the Baby Faced Assassin’s first real test in charge, it’ll be interesting to see how United respond in the wake of a tough defeat.

Behind the scenes, it seems as though forward-planning for the future is still ongoing. Transfer targets are being weighed up before what could well be a defining summer window.

The latest name to be rumoured with an Old Trafford switch is Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Ruben Neves. According to the Daily Express, United have renewed their interest in the brilliantly talented 21-year-old.

However, a deal will only happen if Wolves lower their £100million valuation of the Portuguese midfielder; whom they signed for around £15million back in 2017’s summer.

It’s easy to forget Neves is just 21. This is a player who is still developing and learning his trade in the Premier League, and credit to Wolves for allowing him to flourish and make the step up.

There is no doubt he’d be a fine addition to the United squad, but he definitely wouldn’t come cheap. Neves is a key player to Wolves’ future plans and they won’t let him go easily…
