Man United are still said to be keen on signing young striker, Benjamin Sesko.
Manchester United are a club undergoing major changes, both on and off the field. Erik ten Hag is fighting for his job at present, though I’d certainly give him the time he needs in order to solve the issues.
It’s a massive summer transfer window ahead. The right signings need to be made, while it’ll be intriguing to see how INEOS go about their business. One thing is for certain, a striker is going to be required.
Anthony Martial is looking set to leave, while Rasmus Hojlund simply cannot do it all on his own. Unless you’re going to promote someone like Joe Hugill, money will have to be spent.
Reliable news source Academy Scoop have shared the latest on one possible target in the form of Benjamin Sesko.
Apparently, United ‘retain an interest’ in signing the 20-year-old they were close to bringing in a couple of years ago.
The Reds are a big fan of the player’s versatility and age, while viewing Sesko as someone who would be the ‘ideal’ support striker for the aforementioned Hojlund.
It does remain to be seen whether INEOS themselves are fans of Sesko, rather, the club’s interest in the Slovenian was formed before Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team arrived at the club.

Sesko only made the move to RB Leipzig last summer, scoring eleven goals in 34 appearances across all competitions. That’s a pretty decent record for a man who is still learning his trade.
The question is, would he be willing to leave after just one season? Would Leipzig want to sell him after such a short time frame? Probably not. As a result, you’re forced into overpaying, which is something INEOS are trying to avoid.
There can be no doubt that Sesko would be an excellent piece of business if the club could somehow pull it off. I just don’t see this move happening this summer.
