Manchester United Football Club are still a midfielder or two light despite the Bruno Fernandes signing and Scott McTominay taking his game to the next level.
Well, last month we covered reported interest in Donny van de Beek from Le10Sport late last month, though that article claimed the Red Devils will face stiff competition for the Ajax star.
Well this morning, The Sunday Times offered a different take. They’re claiming that United looked into signing Van de Beek last August but decided against it.
Now, they’ve renewed their interest in the classy 23-year-old. According to that story, United are ‘seriously examining’ the Dutchman who has scored 40 goals from midfield over the last three seasons.
What makes this interesting is that Van de Beek is ‘attracted’ to the Premier League. Although the move only seems realistic due to the fact that Real Madrid seemingly want to sign him next year instead of this season – while the player isn’t willing to wait.
It does feel like if United want to sign Van de Beek, it’s this summer or never. It all depends on whether the Old Trafford club value him enough to go out there and make a deal happen.
