Man United have made a bid for Matthijs de Ligt, though the offer was turned down.
Manchester United Football Club have signed one defender in the form of Leny Yoro. The Reds’ new number 15 looked calm and assured on debut against Rangers over the weekend.
However, the Old Trafford side have never ruled out the possibility of signing more than one centre-half. Matthijs de Ligt has been among the names linked with joining.
All had gone quiet on that front, understandably, after the Yoro signing. However, Christian Falk has shared his latest information.
According to his sources, United made a £29m offer to sign the 24-year-old, though Bayern Munich has rejected the offer. The Bavarian side want around £42m to sell De Ligt this summer.
Negotiations between the two European powerhouses will continue, though it is stated that Bayern may have to sell players before they can buy. Perhaps United could look to use that to their advantage.

With De Ligt set to be replaced at Bayern by Jonathan Tah, it does feel like the German side have no option but to part ways with the Dutchman. Again, that could help United in negotiations.
The player himself has made it nos secret that he’d be keen on a reunion with Erik ten Hag here in Manchester, while with Raphael Varane leaving, Willy Kambwala too, the need to completely overhaul the back line is very real. De Ligt would be an exciting addition in that regard.
Hopefully, the two clubs can come to some sort of agreement as there’s definitely a deal to be made.
