Over the last couple of months, we’ve definitely become familiar with the name Jude Bellingham.
That’s a transfer story that has definitely ramped up, though recently, it has all gone a bit quiet – seemingly as the young man ponders his next career move.
Well, in a Q&A over on Sky Sports News’ (timestamp 18:04, Tuesday) transfer centre live-blog, Manchester reporter James Cooper offered us an update on the future of Bellingham.
Cooper says that United’s stance on acquiring the star midfielder is one that views the star midfielder as a ‘bonus signing’ as opposed to a primary acquisition. Furthermore, this move wouldn’t affect United’s other transfer targets – despite the fact that Bellingham would be an immediate member of the first-team squad…

Bellingham is attracting attention from some absolutely colossal clubs, hence why United are also involved. After all, the Red Devils have an excellent track record when it comes to developing the stars of tomorrow.
Now, it’s about convincing the player and his family that the AON Training Complex is the best place for him to learn and hone his trade. Hopefully, they enjoyed their visit to Manchester not too long ago – though I’ll imagine Borussia Dortmund will also be rolling out the red carpet.
In terms of transfer fee, Cooper doesn’t mention anything, though I doubt that Bellingham will be cheap. You can probably expect United to blow most of their competitors out of the water on that front, which is positive.
