Amongst there several problems, midfield has to be atop Manchester United’s list. Paul Pogba is injured, while Fred continues to be consistently inconsistent.
The move for the Red Devils is to spend money in that area of the field. Though the Baby Faced Assassin seemingly has a long-term goal in mind rather than a quick fix – that’s if his summer business is anything to go by.
That mantra seems to be continuing, with Solskjaer seemingly keen on another up-and-comer; Sandro Tonali.
In an exclusive from The Sun, it is being claimed that United have sent scouts to watch the 19-year-old midfielder (again).
Tonali currently plies his trade for Brescia in the Serie A and has been dubbed the ‘new Andrea Pirlo’ which should tell you everything you need to know about his style of play.
Apparently, the Reds are in the market for a creative midfielder, and there is a feeling that Tonali could fill that void without United having to fork out big bucks.
Brescia are away of heavy interest in the teenager and he’s currently rated at around £40million – which is relatively cheap for someone United could hypothetically get at least a decade of football from… To me, it seems like a no-brainer.
