Man United are definitely interested in Hoffenheim left-back, David Raum. The Old Trafford club are now ‘seriously considering’ a move for the German.
To date, Manchester United are yet to sign a player this summer. It’s no doubt a disappointment for Erik ten Hag, who is no doubt struggling to keep his cool.
That isn’t stopping United from being linked with what feels like every name under the sun. Not too long ago, the Old Trafford club were credited with keenness on signing Hoffenheim left-back, David Raum.
The German is back being linked with a Reds switch again. According to Sport 1, with the translation via Sport Witness, United are ‘seriously considering’ a bid for the 24-year-old defender.
However, they’ll face competition from Newcastle United and West Ham to secure Raum’s signature.
All three sides are eyeing the possibility of a move for the left-back Raum, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Hoffenheim this summer.
As things stand, the player is ‘open’ to an early departure from Hoffenheim, while his agent has been ‘sounding out the market’ and looking at the possible landing spots for his client.
A decision isn’t expected imminently, though Raum’s departure from the Bundesliga club is ‘considered likely’.
You’d imagine that even despite their fall from grace recently, United would be the most attractive option from Raum out of the current Premier League sides linked with a move.
With both Luke Shaw and Alex Telles both consistently blowing hot and cold, there’s every chance that a move for Raum is 100% genuine. Bringing in someone who can nail down that spot in the side on a regular basis would certainly give Erik ten Hag one less problem to worry about.
