Manchester United are yet to sign any new players in what could well be a decisive summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a mammoth task on his hands, he’ll need time to complete the job. The Baby Faced Assassin has to start somewhere, though, and it seems as though he’s keen on SL Benfica’s Joao Felix.
According to The Sun in an exclusive, Manchester United have been joined in the race to sign the 19-year-old by Manchester City, with the superstar teenager valued at £105million.
The forward scored 20 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions last season, with United keen on adding some more firepower to an attack that looked toothless at times last season.
Felix isn’t a player I’ve seen an awful lot of, but when a club slaps such a huge price-tag on one so young, he must be incredibly talented.
Apparently, City are keen on signing Felix whether or not Leroy Sane leaves The Etihad this summer, which again further highlights the 19-year-old’s ability.
Although if I were United I would be cautious about following City’s lead in terms of transfers. They suckered us in left, right and centre with both Alexis Sanchez and Fred… If over £100million is involved, this one has the potential to become even worse.
