Man United set to be without four first-teamers for Chelsea game

Ralf Rangnick will likely be without four first-teamers as Man United take on Chelsea.

Manchester United’s season feels all-but-over at this stage. No top four, no trophy, quite frankly, no hope.

Ralf Rangnick hasn’t been afraid to call out the weak mentality within this squad and I’ve been pleased to hear that. A major overhaul is needed next summer, though there’s still four games left to be played.

Next up is Chelsea at Old Trafford. That’ll be another incredibly challenging game for our Red Devils, who remain low on confidence.

Ahead of that match, the official club website have offered us an injury update on the squad – with United set to be without four first-teamers for this one.

Although Scott McTominay returned to the starting line-up over the weekend, the likes of Paul Pogba, Fred, Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw were all absent. They’re set to be missing again here.

Pogba was forced off during the Liverpool game and it’s now looking like his season is over. In fact, we’ll never see him again in United colours.

As for Fred, we’ve genuinely missed him. The Brazilian is arguably United’s most improved player over the last twelve months and we could’ve used his energy in midfield.

As for Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw, both have been hit and miss of late. They just don’t seem all that interested in giving their all for the badge on their shit – so perhaps it’s better we carry on without them.

I’ll be honest, I have no hope going into this game. I reckon we could be on the wrong end of another thumping here, further denting the confidence within that dressing room.
