Man United will receive around £500k in compensation, as Shola Shoretire seals his next career move.

Manchester United Football Club are now in a position where they’ll have to sell before they can buy. Further quality additions could be fully dependent on big-name player sales.

The transfer of Shola Shoretire will not fetch big money, though as they say, every little helps…

Once filled with promise aplenty, Shoretire was touted for big things here in Manchester. Sadly, it never really worked out for the Newcastle-born attacking midfielder.

As his contract wound down, an exit always looked likely. Now, Shoretire has chosen his next club; PAOK in Greece.

Signing as a free agent, United were due compensation following his time in the academy. Now, it has been confirmed by Simon Peach the Reds will receive around £500k as the starlet leaves the club and heads off to pastures new.

Check out Simon Peach’s X post on the news here:

It feels like Shoretire has been around for ages now, though he’s still only twenty. He has plenty of time to get his career back on track, while POAK will certainly give the Englishman that opportunity.

This is a chance to play regularly at a great level, without having the pressures that playing for the biggest club in the world brings with it.

Shoretire will be looking for regular playing time over in Greece, performing in some great atmospheres in a fantastic country. It could certainly be worse for the young man.
