Man United are not offering Anthony Martial a new deal, instead, looking to let him leave on a free next summer.
Manchester United Football Club still need to clear out their playing squad. So far, Erik ten Hag has found it tough to move away from several struggling stars who are massively overpaid. It comes as no real surprise, given the fact that no other clubs want to buy these stars and pick up their hefty wage demands…
Perhaps no one player epitomises it more than Anthony Martial. The Frenchman has been in and out of the side since joining the club a decade ago. I’d argue he hasn’t improved or developed one bit since making the move to Manchester…
He’s behind Rasmus Hojlund in the pecking order at this stage, though there were recent rumours claiming that Martial could end up staying at the club due to a one-year extension clause being triggered.
Well, that doesn’t appear to be the case according to TalkSPORT. Their sources claim that United are ‘not planning’ on offering the attacker a new contract.
Martial is set to be released on a free when his current deal expires this summer, assuming he does not find a new club during this month.

Martial has been dealing with a mystery illness of late, so I do wonder whether Ten Hag has told him to go out there and find a new club during the current transfer window…
Whether or not the former AS Monaco man will be given a new home over the next few weeks remains to be seen…
It does make sense for Martial to go out there, start afresh and look to rediscover some form. I just wonder what sort of club would be interested in bringing him in. I highly doubt he’ll play at the very highest level again, though a mid-tier side in a top five division may be willing to take a gamble on him.
Either way, for United, it’s about getting him out the exit door and saving some money on his massive wages.
