Manchester United Football Club are seemingly closing in on their first signature under Ole Gunnar Solskajer.
We covered a story from Sky Sports earlier in which it was claimed that James will have his medical tests at United today (Thursday). The 21-year-old winger will cost around £18million after add-ons.
In a follow-up article, The Independent have confirmed the aforementioned fee while saying United are ‘close’ to completing the deal and personal terms have already been agreed.
However, in their article, it goes on to state that an official announcement may not be made until next week.
Although they give no reasoning as to why, we have a hunch that it could be due to international duty. James is currently preparing for two important qualifying games against Croatia and Hungary, the second of which is played next Tuesday.
If you want our opinion, we’re looking at an announcement late next week when he’s back focused on club football.
In terms of what we know about James, well, very little except that he’s extremely quick (video below). At this point, us fans just want to see players wearing our shirt with pride. If James gives his absolute all for the cause then I’m sure he’ll make a brilliant impression at this football club.
