Man United are one of the sides showing an interest in Ajax winger, Antony.
I think it’s fair to say that Manchester United Football Club need a major overhaul of some kind. Both on and off the field.
Ralf Rangnick is doing some stellar work in terms of trying to change the mentality within that dressing room. It’s also brilliant that he’s staying on in a consultancy role after.
No doubt the German will already be having an input on what players are signed by the Red Devils over the next couple of years, too. Perhaps that work is already starting.
Now, a new name has been linked with a potential Old Trafford move; Antony.
The claim comes from 90min.com, who state that the winger has become a target for a host of ‘leading Premier League clubs’.
Amongst those sides is the Red Devils. United are apparently interested in the emerging 21-year-old, who is ‘keen’ on a move to England.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea also get a mention by 90min.com. That alone should give you an indication as to how talented this guy is.
In regards to United, their interest in winger Antony is ‘set to intensify’ due to Mason Greenwood’s future following his recent arrest. On top of that, we’re still not sure where Anthony Martial‘s future lies.
I’m not going to sit here and tell you Antony is the best thing since sliced bread. Quite frankly, I’ve never seen him play. However, during the Brazilian’s eighteen-month spell at Ajax, he has definitely improved while the experience in European football will no doubt serve him well for the future.
I do think it’ll be hard for United to match what Liverpool, Chelsea and City can offer in terms of potential trophies. However, if it comes down to money, the Red Devils can certainly compete in that regard…
