Over the summer, Manchester United signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a big-money deal. The transfer is proving to be a fruitful one for the Red Devils, though links to right-backs are still appearing in the media.

However, with Diogo Dalot attracting big interest from Paris Saint-Germain, the need for a long-term back-up, or rotational option may grow…

Interestingly, Catalan media outlet Sport state that United will be signing a right-back, in the form of Barcelona defender Marc Jurado.

According to their story, Jurado ‘didn’t accept’ the offer on the table from Barca and he will play the next ‘few seasons’ in Manchester with United’s youth team.

Aged just sixteen, Jurado has taken the decision to leave the Camp Nou after ‘weeks’ of negotiations and the youngster will ‘try an English adventure’ instead.

Understandably, Sport add that the ‘transfer hasn’t gone down well’ in Catalonia, though their loss is United’s gain. Credit, where it’s due, acquiring a talented up-and-comer from Barcelona, is a huge coup.

The Reds signed Hannibal Mejbri from AS Monaco last summer, with an increased interest now being placed on talented teenagers once again. It’s great to see and hopefully, we’ll see a few of these guys within the first-team mix over the next few years.
