The Man United squad continue to be confused by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision-making over Jesse Lingard.
Our Baby Faced Assassin is undoubtedly under pressure right now. The results have been poor, while the manager continues to put his trust in the same set of players.
They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results. Perhaps it’s time for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to try something new in terms of team selection…?
The one that sticks to our mind is that the United squad are now bemused by one Solskjaer team news decision; the continued omission of Jesse Lingard.
Not too long ago, the Englishman was coming off the bench and making a genuine impact for this United squad – scoring a goal against West Ham that gave us a massive three points and an even bigger physiological boost. Since then, we’ve barely seen the Warrington-born attacker.
Understandably, the squad, including Lingard, aren’t sure why he’s just been left out in the cold for the most part – despite making a positive impression.
Again, it comes down to Solskjaer having way too much trust in some players and very little in others. I firmly believe his refusal to change will eventually cost the Norwegian his job.
As things stand, you get the impression that Lingard will be leaving for free when his contract expires next summer. Honestly, who can blame him? The attacker deserves to play week-in-week-out, be it at United or elsewhere.
The Telegraph also state that Dean Henderson will look to leave if his situation doesn’t change.
Should Jesse Lingard be given more chance? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
