I think it’s fair to say that Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho haven’t had the best of relationships during their time at Manchester United.
From the training ground spat to the removal of the Frenchman’s captaincy, the pair are never going to be close friends, that’s for sure.
Now, it looks as though things between Mourinho and Pogba have really come to a head. According to Corriere dello Sport, translated by talkSPORT, the 25-year-old is unsettled at Old Trafford, with the midfielder telling friends that he wants to leave the Theatre of Dreams; and move back to Juventus.
Furthermore, the report also claims that Pogba is seriously considering his future at United, which suggests to me that he could want to leave as early as January. Now, whether or not the Red Devils would sanction that move is another matter entirely, and let’s be honest, I highly doubt they’d ship the #6 out mid-season.
Pogba is our best player. I think that much is obvious. When he’s on song, he’s borderline unplayable. I get the feeling that Mourinho’s stubbornness in regards to this situation will eventually come back to bite him on the backside as it’s clear to see that all is not well between player and manager.
